For Ryan’s birthday we went to Globe to spend the day with Papa Ken and Grandma Lynn. We all had so much fun. When we got there Grandma meet us out side and Ryan walked in with her. He had so much fun walking Grandma around with her walker. Ryan then opened his present from Grandma and Papa, which he loved! His favorite part was a sippy cup with his name on it. He kept trying to suck it but there was nothing in it yet. It was so funny watching him roll around trying to get water out of it. We ate Libby’s for lunch and Ryan had red chicken with rice and ate every drop. He really loved Libby’s just like his Mommy and Daddy! Then he got his first hair cut. He was so cute sitting there sucking on his sucker while Grandma cut his hair. He was a little bit of a wiggle worm but there were no tears. I think it was because he really liked that sucker. He then took a short nap before we ate cake. We got an all chocolate cake from a bakery and just gave him a piece. We are saving the “smash” cake for his party on Saturday. He really liked the cake but the thing he liked most was eating it with a fork. He even shared bites of it with Adam and me. Afterwards he badly needed a bath ! I did not think about what the chocolate would look like smashed all over his pale skin. It was gross! We then played a little more before heading home around bedtime. He slept all the way home and then went right to bed and slept until 6:30am. I just can’t believe it has been a year already!
Ryan has changed so much over the last year! He has grown almost 10 inches, and gained a little over 12 pounds. He is walking but still looks like he has sea legs so he mostly speed crawls, and I mean SPEED crwals! He talks up a storm to anyone who will listen he can say Mama, Dada, dog, ball, Adam, and what! He gives the most wonderfully sloppy kisses, and heart-warming hugs. He is thoughtful, adventurous, and wise. He enjoys going new places, and meeting new people and is the life of the party no matter where he is at. He loves spending the day playing with his Mommy at home too. He loves to sing and dance, especially with the Wiggles, but most of all Ryan is blessed beyond measure. God has gently guided him through this year and we can’t wait to see what God has planned for Ryan’s second year of life. Happy Birthday Son, Mommy and Daddy Love You!
